The approach consisted of a systematic sampling of the soils on the targeted areas by adopting an average density of the order of a composite sample every 200 ha for rain-fed agriculture areas and a composite sample every 50 ha for irrigated areas. The sampling points were recorded by GPS so that their position is used for surface interpolation of the measured parameters. The measured parameters include pH, organic matter, available phosphorus and exchangeable potassium. Organic matter is also used to estimate the potential supply of mineral nitrogen based on mineralization coefficients determined by different studies across the country.

ANALYSIS LABORATORIES

Analysis laboratory of the National School of Meknes

Modern Analysis Laboratory of ENA (National School of Agriculture of Meknes) has the most modern equipment. Several analyzes are carried in response to farmers request to advise them on choosing the optimal fertilization for their crops.

Analysis Laboratory of the INRA of Meknes

The laboratory includes three laboratories, the first laboratory is for plant protection, the second one is for food technology, and the third laboratory, specialized in soil, plants and water analysis, which actively participated in the development of fertility maps of Morocco's soil.

Analysis laboratory of IAV

The analysis laboratory of the Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute is fundamentally used for research to develop soil and crop fertilization solutions.
